Kendall contacted me about a session right after Samuel was born asking to “always remember the details of our sweet boy.” Detail images are my very favorite because they showcase the particulars that make your baby unique and also what you’re most likely to forget.  Some babies have fuzzy ears. Others have nails that grow so fast that despite cutting them before the session, there’s a new hangnail. Others still have their umbilical cord attached or millia across their sweet noses. Samuel had the fuzziest blond hair that’s showcased in the collage below. And his little chin on his tiny hand, melted my heart.

Like all clients, Kendall was able to pick both the colors and props we used for her session as well as her final digital file collection. I send my clients proof galleries and they will select the images that they love most.  Clients can purchase collections of 15, 30, or every file presented in their proof gallery along with fine art prints for display in their homes. As you can see from the collages, Kendall’s images can be used in gallery walls together or in albums to commemorate Samuel’s tiny days. One of my favorite images from this session is Samuel on this unfinished crochet blanket from Kendall’s grandmother. It was such a beautiful way to tie Samuel to an amazing woman who he didn’t have the privilege of meeting.

Next, we did some family images. Look how beautifully Samuel’s tininess is shown in his mama’s arms! This light from behind is becoming a signature look for Quiet Graces Photography’s family pictures. This lighting is only possible using studio light and it’s becoming highly requested!
