2016Let this newborn session go down in the history of Quiet Graces as the one with THE most amazing sibling ever! Meet Claire and her baby brother Miles.
At a young 3 years old she rocked all the sibling poses and her sweet brother was 11 pounds at just a few days old!
I took a few of just Claire at the end of the session while mom and dad were packing up to go. Her Mom and Dad have raised a curious and fun little girl who follows direction so well. I am sure Miles will follow in her footsteps.
This family was just so gorgeous and calm. Miles on the other hand wanted to party for the first 45 minutes of the session. He was wide awake and a little gassy.
Once we fixed the gassy issue, he drifted off into the most wonderful deep sleep. Sometimes my job just involves a lot of patience as I wait for these little ones to wear themselves out.
And once this big guy was asleep, he was perfect.

2016Noah’s hair. Really I think those are the only words I need to say about these Baby Pictures in Greenville SC. Yep, His hair is amazing.
Noah is six weeks old in these photos. Almost all of my newborn images are done prior to 20 days old, but usually at 6 weeks I can get a really fun assortment of facial expressions and one sleepy pose. With a lot of patience and a pacifier. 😉
Besides the amazing hair, Noah also has the most amazing lashes. I’m so jealous.
Noah’s daddy was being deployed so I squeezed this session in a packed schedule to make sure we got some great family pictures.
But I always love mommy images the very best. There’s something so sweet about a new mother with her little love. Even this little guy with his mischievous faces and hair pulling 🙂

2016It was about 7 years ago this month that we found out we were expecting our first baby.
My husband’s first words upon seeing the pregnancy test:
“You’re having twins.”
And he was right. Meet my sweet baby girls, Aeralind and Bronwyn.
I wanted girls. I prayed hard for them to be girls. I only have a sister. I adore their little brother Sedryn, but the unknown frightened me during this first pregnancy.
These girls are amazing. Their bond is fierce. A couple of weeks ago they declared they would live together when they grew up. When asked what their husbands might think about that, my Bronwyn said “We’ll just have one.”
I’m daily overwhelmed by the task of helping them grow to see their story is beautiful. That their joys and struggles are all sweet amazing grace. That they are, without a doubt, a miracle with potential to create.
I want to freeze them now. Their wild discovering spirits. The unexpected sassy-ness. The logical little minds just soaking every moment in and saying such hilarious things.
Sometimes I feel so inadequate for this job of mothering these free spirits. I fail so many times. I see my words and actions crush their little hearts. I say sorry often.
It’s funny: these babies really birth us into becoming better, compassionate, less selfish people. It’s hard work helping little ones grow when you’re still growing up yourself.

2016Parker took awhile to warm up to me. Some 2 year old children do 😉
At first, she was a little scared and overwhelmed in the new environment.
Luckily, her mama had booked a mini session for her sister Lydia right after her mini session so we had plenty of time. I focused on photographing Lydia and managed to coax Parker into a few frames with her sister.
From there she grew more and more comfortable.
And then we introduced the rocking horse. She LOVED it!
Interested in a baby or child mini? These are all announced on my email newsletter. Sign up for my newsletter here. I usually only send 1-2 emails a month to cut down on what goes into your inbox.

2016I don’t have any pictures of the most beautiful part of Caroline’s Session because it happened while I was holding Caroline.
At one month old, Caroline was older than the typical newborn who comes to my studio. Normally I prefer to photograph little ones under 19 days old because they are so squishy and it’s much easier for them to sleep through the posing for a very long stretch.
As expected, Caroline arrived awake. And really wanted to hang out awake. She was nosily staring at my light, so I switched if off and began to rock her knowing that her mama really wanted some sleepy poses.
Caroline did not want to stop staring at me as I rocked and patted, but then her mommy came near to use. Resting her face against Caroline’s she sang to her while rubbing her forehead. I kept patting and bouncing and sweetly, Caroline drifted off to sleep.
Sometimes I can only use words to record the sweetest moments in my studio, but the sweet images the followed made the snuggles and singing that much sweeter.
