2020Holly contacted me for a Greenville SC Mini Maternity Photography Session including her older daughter Emma. I met Emma when she was a newborn and was so excited to see her all grown up to almost 2 years. Look at how cute Emma was in this natural and simple newborn set from her session. You can see the rest of Emma’s natural and timeless newborn session by clicking here.
One of the best parts about booking a maternity session for your second child is the photos we’re able to get of your first child during that session. There’s a little less pressure and I’m able to focus fully on your big sibling.
And the added benefit is that when you come back for your newborn session, your child will already be familiar with me and the studio. It’s a win-win the day of the newborn session when we’re able to get the sibling photos you want a little easier 😉
Emma was pretty much the most fun child I’ve had under two in a long time! She likes to climb, play, and throw around my studio newborn posing pillows (don’t worry… I started that game not her!). We had a blast capturing some of that mischief on camera!
And ofcourse, we captured Holly’s pregnancy with Emma’s baby sister, too!
Because daddy was out of town on the day of the session, Holly’s dad joined her. I really enjoyed getting to meet him and capture some images with him as well.
Are you looking to book a Greenville SC Mini Maternity Photography Session with an older child? Wanting to meet your newborn photographer before your baby arrives at a no fuss session? I even provide a wardrobe for my clients and their kiddos to make it super easy! I’d love to be considered to serve your family. 2020Christmas Gingerbread Photos Greenville SC
Lindsey’s friends asked her “Where did you get a rolling pin THAT big?” after seeing her Christmas Gingerbread Photos Greenville SC. She emailed this to me and I have NEVER laughed so hard.
You see these Gigngerbread Mini Sessions are a complete Photoshop hoax. I take individual images of my clients and Photoshop them into a another photo. That rolling pin? It’s mine. I use it in my kitchen.
However, the flour is very real, very messy, and ridiculously fun for a group of boys ages 8 and under as you can see from the photo above. I’m pretty sure what the boys loved most is having a mama willing to jump in and make a mess too. And ya’ll it was clearly worth it!
Check out Lindsey’s face in this image! I told them all to act like I was going to eat them. You know, since they’re gingerbread men and all. It’s hysterical and I’m so glad these boys have such a great family to play with!
Looking to book your own out of the box Christmas Gingerbread Photos Greenville SC? I typically shoot Gingerbread Mini sessions in November so we all have time to create the PERFECT Christmas card. However, if you want to roll around in a pile of flour, laugh ridiculously hard during your family photos, and make a memory your kiddos are sure to never forget you should definitely do this!

2020Are you looking for a Simpsonville SC Newborn Photographer? I’d love to be considered to capture the joy you feel over your beautiful new miracle. My style is simple and timeless leaving the natural beauty of your little one shining through and not some trendy prop or colors. Click here to find out more about working with me. Click here to drop me a line. And please scroll down to see the images from Rachael’s lovely newborn session.
Sweet Racheal was a little “old” for most newborn photographers at almost 3 weeks. Many photographers won’t do newborn style images over 2 weeks. I am not one of them. No matter how “old” your baby is, we can still create images that showcase their beauty. I especially love the images of Rachael with her parents.
First, there’s this smile in daddy’s hands and there’s another smile in mom’s hands! Finally, there’s the way these two simply adore their sweet baby girl. I mean you could practically feel their love like a warm embrace of joy and hope.
I always try to let baby lead with posing and Rachael was most content to be wrapped. Therefore, this session was full of props and wraps and gentle movement just the way she liked it. Baby’s are people and, as a newborn photographer, I want to respect their wishes and preferences as best as I can.
This sweet little nest is among my client’s favorite props. I tend to decorate it differently for each little one based on my client’s color preferences. Babies seem to love it too!
The following image set is my favorite from this session. Daddy set to work picking out the prop, blanket, and colors. I loved how involved he was. And like usual, I tend to have daddy’s assist when I’m doing a pose where your little one isn’t completely stable or settled. I’d rather remove your hand from an image than put a little one at risk. And yet the contrast of daddy’s hand keeping Rachael safe makes me teary everytime. She’s such a cherished little girl. I loved being their Simpsonville SC Newborn Photographer.

2020I loved serving Marquita and her family again for these Minimalist Cake Smash Pictures Greer SC. You see, Marquita is a repeat client. Three years ago I photographed her sweet boy Augustus for his cake smash. Isn’t he the cutest baby?
I couldn’t believe how much he’s grown! Look at him!
Augustus is also an amazing big brother to his sister Petra. Look at their sweet sibling bond. And that smooshy face kiss is to die for! These candid moments are my favorite to photograph. I always want you to be able to remember, not only their sweet little faces, but also their full personality.
Petra fits in perfect with this family bunch. She’s got this wild joyful personality and is just so expressive. Every single photo I took had a different expression. From joy to curiosity to disgust to contentment, we captured all of these sweet faces for Marquita to hold onto.
I’m pretty sure Petra is the perfect addition to the family.
While I try to keep your baby the focus of the session, I also welcome family imagery during a cake smash. Your baby deserves to see how much she is loved. And family portraits are the perfect medium for seeing that love displayed for years to come.
After family pictures, we moved toward the cake smash. I always keep cake smash decorations minimalistic, timeless and classic.
Marquita brought this giant balloon. Christine of Baking Sweet Scents provides a complimentary triple layer semi-naked cake for your session which we frosted in millennial pink per request. And then we just added in some sweet florals. I love the effect of keeping Petra the sole focus of the images.
And don’t worry, everyone took a bite out of the cake! Including Augustus who was so happy to help!
We finished the session with a little clean up in a milk bath. I always do baths at the end of cake smashes. It’s a great way to clean up, but it’s also a great opportunity for babies who found the cake experience a little overwhelming. Baths are familiar while frosting is not
I love this image as a circle wood print for the house. Seriously, how cute is Petra?!

2020I was super excited to do Kylie’s Garden Fairy Style 2 Year Old Cake Smash in Simpsonville SC. I absolutely adore watching my babies grow up. I’ve photographed Kylie when she was a newborn as well as for her first birthday (those links are clickable if you’d like to see her other sessions). Look at how amazing she is at two!
Kylie’s mama Beckyloves to be super hands on with session planning. Becky wanted to keep the colors soft and pink with some really girly touches and lots of floral touches. I think it looks like a garden fairy paradise! And this floral tutu dress that Becky picked out is sheer perfection! The simple semi-naked cake from Baking Sweet Scents was clearly a hit as well. This cake (decorated to suit your vision) is included with every cake smash session.
Becky wanted to include the gifting of a stuffed bunny which is a wonderful addition to a two year old session. Especially for this age, bringing a new photographable toy to the session is the perfect option to help a little one warm up to the camera and have something to do to stay still. Clearly we loved on bunny and then moved onto climbing the chair! As you can see, it really helped get a couple of sweet images when Kylie was feeling a little shy. I also really loved that we photographed Kylie receiving what will hopefully be a sweet childhood friend.
All 2 Year Old Cake Smash in Simpsonville SC include family photos and Becky took advantage of this opportunity and brought her older boys. Becky borrowed her dresses from my mama wardrobe which is available for all sessions. It just makes getting dressed for mama super simple!
