2015Photographing twins is my absolute favorite… mostly because the entire experience is a walk down memory lane for me. My twin girls turned 6 the same week these beautiful twins were born.
To be able to encourage a twin mama in the throes of simultaneously falling deeply in love with two babies and waging the incredibly difficult war of sleeplessness is such a gift. We whisper breastfeeding stories and talk about the mechanics of tandem feeding and the panic that comes with each growth spurt. There is talk of schedule being king and is it ever okay to just feed the awake baby and let the other baby sleep in the middle of the night.
But mostly there is just shared wonder. Wonder that two humans grew at the same time inside of you. Wonder that they are here and real and beautiful. Wonder that you were given this precious gift of ready made siblings and sleep deprivation. Wonder at the sheer joy of it all.
Henry and Evelyn were perfect. Mom and dad kept them up just a bit before feeding them and driving right over. For the first part of the session, I never even saw their eyes. Over an hour and half of just posing and cuddling sweet little ones. My favorite. Henry was so laid back. Patient and kind with me.
Evelyn had a few more opinions than Henry. See that adorable tiny hand above her head? That was all Evelyn’s idea. It took me awhile to coax her to bring it down.
The little sweeties started getting hungry as we took the parent images. See Evelyn trying to nurse on smiling Henry’s head? That used to happen with my girls all the time. One or the other would have wet slimy hair when it was time to feed them because their sister had been nursing on their hair before crying out to be fed.
Anna and Nathan are just such wonderful parents. Patient. Relaxed. Already laughing about the craziness of twin newborns.
Henry was the exact same weight and height that my girls had been. The back wrinkles make me laugh knowing how tiny he really was.
Evelyn was roughly a pound heaver that her brother and it really shows in her filled out cheeks.Looking for a Greenville SC Twin Newborn Photographer? I would love to hear your twin story and encourage you in those early sleep deprived weeks. Contact me today to get your due date on my calendar.

2015Sweet little Ford was an absolute treat for this Newborn Baby Photographer in Greenville SC. He was so sleepy and curly and just absolutely perfect. This was the first time where I was able to get a baby perfectly into this pose. It’s called the womb pose because it’s how we imagine they may have been all squished up in the womb.
I love how close Ford wanted his foot close to his cheek in this wrapped pose. I pulled it down to add the deer antler for this future hunter.
Daddy gave mommy this lovely push present and it was such a fun challenge to photograph it. I love mommy’s eyelashes in this stunning black and white.
And these family photos make my heart sing too.
But my favorites from this session are Ford looking so small in daddy’s hands. And that droopy lip… adorable.
Believe it or not, I actually had to wake him to get an open eye image!
Looking to capture every detail of your new little love? Contact me today. Newborn sessions book out about 2-3 months in advance (though sometimes I have last minute openings!).

- What do you photograph? Do you do family photography?
- I am a specialized studio maternity, newborn, and baby photographer. My studio is located in Taylors, SC about 15-20 minutes from downtown Greenville and 40-45 from downtown Spartanburg.I do not do family photography, except for a few family images at each Heirloom Session. My focus is on capturing your little one’s personality in timeless clothing and tones. Click around the website to see if the photography you’re envisioning matches the style you see presented.
- Can I redeem my session in 2015?
- No, I’m sorry. My 2015 calendar is almost completely booked. The sale is only for 2016.
- How do I pick the session date?
- If you’re wanting a maternity session, pick the month where you will be between 33-37 weeks pregnant. I find that mama’s are most comfortable around 35 weeks pregnant and still feel up to posing. If you’re wanting a newborn session, pick the month of your due date. Session dates for newborns are finalized after the birth and usually occur when baby is between 4-20 days old.If you’re wanting a baby session, pick the month that corresponds with the age of your child. So if you want a sitting milestone/6 month session pick the month where your child is between 6.5-7.5 months old. If you want a one year session, pick the month of their birthday. If there are no options left for your month, the sale is sold out in that month.
- What are your normal prices?
- First Year Legacy Sessions (3 sessions and an album) are $1399. Heirloom Sessions are $499. Petite Sessions are $299. You can view my complete pricing here. For the sale, the Legacy Sessions will be discounted $300. The Petite and Heirloom will be discounted $100.
- What’s included with each session type?
- Will I have to pay the full session amount at the sale?
- No. Regardless of session type chosen, you will only pay a $199 non-refundable retainer fee to secure the sale price (with the exception of the quick finger 40% off Heirloom Session). The remaining fees are due prior to your session date. While the retainer is non-refundable, I will allow you to downsize your plan if needed. So if you purchase a Legacy at the time of the sale and later have extenuating financial circumstances, I will allow you to downsize to an Heirloom or Petite. The same applies to an Heirloom downsizing to a Petite.
- Can I change the month of my session later?
- No. The only exception is newborns, whose early or late arrival may put you outside of the calendar month selected at checkout. I only book a limited number of clients to give my clients full care, the month chosen at checkout is final for all maternity and baby clients.

2015Lily came to help me and Amy of Portraits by Amy Lynn sharpen our skills on a few different newborn poses.
I was at Amy’s home studio so I got to play with some new props and angles as well as work with another photographer for the first time since I assisted Katie of Seek Joy with triplets. We had a blast and both of us loved having 4 hands and eyes!
I don’t do model calls very often, but when I do you’ll find me calling for models either through email or on my Facebook page. Join the email list (and receive a free gift!) here and like my page to stay updated.

2015Sweet little Maya came to visit me in my Taylor’s Studio. We played around with a bit of color to match her purple and grey nursery. I usually keep my sessions pretty neutral colored to highlight all of your little one’s beautiful features, but this was a fun change of pace since I had back drops in both colors in the studio.
Maya’s parents were both detail oriented engineers which led naturally into a discussion of newborn details. We laughed about the hundreds of things no one tells new parents. Like the color of a newborn poop. Or what sleep deprivation actually feels like. Or how hard you can tap your baby while burping them without breaking them. Or that girls can pee all over you during a diaper change just the same as boys. Or what the immediately postpartum body really looks like.
Conversations like this are one of the reasons that I pursued newborn photography as my business focus. To be there for new parents in their early days of uncertainty and just say “I’ve been there too. What you’re feeling is normal.” is my favorite part of any newborn session.
Being detail oriented also means that Maya’s parents read and followed every detail of my parent prep guide. Maya drifted off to sleep like a champion after a warm studio feeding and allowed me to pose her in so many set ups.
We were even able to sneak a few parent images in their Petite session 🙂
