2019I was so excited to have Grace Anne back for her 3 month Baby girl Photos Greenville SC! Nothing brings me more joy than watching my tiny clients grow up!
Grace Anne Birth Announcement from Melissa Aldrich on Vimeo.
For a flashback, here is Grace Anne’s Newborn Video. Mama wanted an ultra girly newborn session to celebrate. You can see that session blogged here. But my favorite image is this one of Devon and Grace. Motherhood looks stunning on Devon and you can see how tiny and protected Grace Anne is in her mama’s arms.
I convinced Devon to jump in just a few images for this session (even though it was more about capturing her little ones). Grace Ann was getting tired at the end of the session and just needed a little snuggle. And I love these images too. The joy with which Devon parents shows up so clearly here!
And this smile from Grace Anne totally melted me!
But I’m always a sucker for little details like this protective embrace.
And details like these precious baby toes.
This session I got to meet big brothers Jack and Chris. It’s a challenge to get a looking at the camera photo for 3 children under three! We have some fun ones here. So much energy!
And then there’s this tender moment that totally melted me.
Here’s a snapshot of Jack’s slightly shy but hysterically fun personality. Jack’s a little slow to warm up but he’s a heart breaker in the making.
And then there’s this snapshot of Chris’s charm and love of the camera. He’s a little ham!
Finally, we spent the end of the session focusing on documenting Grace Anne’s growth. I love these smiles in her beautiful Christening gown.
And she didn’t disappoint when we changed her into this hand knit dress from my studio wardrobe.
But I think mama’s and my favorites were smiling in this trench bowl. Just look at her tiny legs and precious smiles!

2019I can’t tell you how much fun it is to be the Greenville SC Simple Timeless Modern Studio Photographer for Reagan, Catherine, and their sweet mama Marie.
First, you have Reagan who I first met at Catherine’s newborn photography session which you can see here. But there’s a flashback image here below as well.
This girl is an absolute delight! Reagan is bright, funny, and quirky in all the best six year old ways. At the beginning of her session, Reagan informed me that she was loving first grade and had become a big girl by not using her fingers for her math. It made me laugh out loud!
Then, as Marie says, there’s the graduate degree baby in between these girls. 😉 But as you can see, it didn’t stop an instant bond for this precious family. Just look!
Finally, here’s baby Catherine. She’s an absolute delight with this sweet cheeks.
But no one can make her smile like big sister Reagan who may have been standing behind me on almost all of these images.
As you can see, their bond is just priceless already. I mean just look at how much they adore each other here!
We took these images around Christmas and I just adore these sister dresses that Reagan picked out. The nativity skirt on Catherine’s is just gorgeous. And Reagan’s is a soft knit that is perfect for an active girl.
Marie catapulted herself to favorite client ever when she selected this image for her collection. This face is hysterical. I love when clients want to remember all the faces. Don’t worry, we picked Catherine right up after I took this quick snap! I don’t like crying babies ither.
We also had some fun at the end of this session creating a Gingerbread image for their Christmas card. I just love these!

2019I can’t tell you what a priveledge it’s been to be Ford and Emerson’s Baby Plan Photographer Greenville SC. I’ve seen them as newborns, at one year, and now at two year old. Here is a video of some highlights from the last three years.
Two Years of Ford and Emerson from Melissa Aldrich on Vimeo.
I look forward to continuing to watch these two grow up, but I have to admit two is a hard year to photograph. Especially two times two!
Mom Jessica had wagered that Emerson would give me fits at the session, but it was Ford who showed up with sweet smile at the beginning of the session and then didn’t want to follow instructions as time went on.
Emerson was fairly fascinated with the whole process and although a little shy at first, she was eager to follow directions.
I love how Jessica read my 11 ways to Prepare a Young Child for a Photography Session post and found her own way to get them to smile. She asked Ford and Emerson to make animal noises. Who can keep from smiling when they are neighing or meowing! It was perfect.
Many of the images of these two active two year olds together are actually composites: two images put together in Photoshop. But this one sharing my bench made me smile and show both personalities so well.
Jessica, I am so grateful that you have trusted me to document these favorite memories in your miracles’ childhood. You’re an amazing mama and I have been delighted to watch your babies grow.
Are you looking to book your own Baby Plan Photographer Greenville SC? I’d love to be considered to make your dreams come true. Contact me today to share your vision for how your baby (babies?) should be captured.

2018I was so pleased to be Sevin’s 18 Month old baby Studio Photographer Greenville SC.
Remember Sevin? She came for newborn photos and I have always loved her precious rosebud lips. And clearly she still has them!
And then she came again for one year photos, and she had a very normal case of separation anxiety. She loved her mama and she wanted to be with her mama! But we still got some amazing shots.
I was pleased to have her come back for her 18 month photos, but if I’m honest I was a little scared. I thought 18 months might be harder to photograph than two as she was closer to the separation anxiety stage and also closer to the two year old exploring and no stage.
I was completely wrong. 18 months was a blast! She wanted to explore and try the things I asked her to do and was happy as long as mommy was in sight. It was fantastic!
Sevin had ready smiles and just the right amount of mischief as she moved scarfs and wraps out of props and where she wanted them to be.
She was happy to climb up and sit on various props.
But most of all Sevin’s sweet curious personality shined this session. You could see that she was seriously loved to pieces and this security allowed her to test her boundaries and explore with freedom. Heather, you’re doing a great job!
Of course, I pulled Heather into the photos, but Sevin wasn’t having mama photos this time. She just wanted to explore. I think we should have tried mama photos at the beginning before she felt completely comfortable in the studio. But I still love these sweet shots.
Would you like to capture images of your sweet 18 month old in this in-between season? I would love to help you record their little personality that is developing. Contact me here to let me know what your ideal session would look like.

2018I was so excited to be Ivy’s Organic Baby Girl Studio Photographer Greenville SC.
Ivy’s mama Pranee booked a session to capture the sheer sweetness of her baby girl.
She had one special request. Could we include a bit of ivy to show the significance of her name: Ivy Oaklyn.
I loved this idea so much! What a simple way to add a deeply personal touch to your photos. I love how you can incorporate such a small thing of significance to tell your baby’s story.
Ivy is a sheer beauty. Those lips and this intense gaze completely melted me when I was uploading these images. I had to edit this one first.
This little one still hadn’t mastered the art of sitting which is actually quite common for six month olds. She kept trying to inch off the futon here though!
One of the reasons I shoot with such a short lens is to be able to hold babies while shooting. My hand is holding hers in this shot so that I know that she is safe even though I can’t see all of her in the camera frame.
Ivy is wearing two items from my client wardrobe which you can see some of by clicking here. I love that I can provide clients with a stress free and inexpensive way to “shop” for their session. I have items ranging from timeless dresses or smocked rompers to hand knit items to more modern photo trendy items.
Looking to book your own session for you six month baby? Not wanting to fuss with shopping for wardrobe? I’d love to have you in the studio so we can capture all the personality and joy you never want to forget in your little one. Click here to tell me all about your dream session for your sweet baby.
