2014Giveaway Day 11: Writing Coaching or Editing
Operating a small business is work well loved but often hard and lonely with little support. So during my “big” birthday month, I’m going to be sharing with you some wonderful businesses and each of them will be giving away one thing to one lucky person.
I’m sharing these small businesses because my heart is with the business owner struggling to make it, but really passionate about serving people. Any given day, I may fit that description. 😉
And now let me tell you a little bit about today’s small business owner.
Elise Parker
Here’s the main things I want you to hear about Elise: she has two super powers. Her laugh fills the whole room with joy and she has the ability to make you instantly feel like you’re the only person in the room. She’s also helped deliver a baby in a car 😉
But aside from those super powers, Elise writes her own blog here: Our Stories God’s Glory. Elise is also a writer and editor for both Circles of Faith and the newly launched God Sized Dreams. She is concerned with equipping and encouraging women to pursue all of what God has for them. And on top of all that she coaches others who are on writing journeys.
One Hour Writing Coaching or Editing
Elise is offering the winner to choose either an hour of writing coaching or an hour of editing with her. I’m almost a little jealous that I can’t enter this contest myself.
Maybe you’re not a blogger or author who is jumping for joy and not even reading this sentence before entering the contest. That’s okay. Let me tell you some other people who would benefit from writing coaching or editing.
- The High School or College Student applying for an exclusive internship or scholarship opportunity or an overseas semester
- For the business owner who can’t understand why their website isn’t drawing in interested customers
- For the Speaker or Bible Study teacher who is passionate about what they’re doing, but sometimes feels a failure to connect to audiences
- For the girl who has always written in a journal and wondered silently if her words were good enough to share.
I’m sure their are other categories who would benefit from Writing Coaching or Editing too!
Contest Entry Instructions
To enter, stop by the newly launched God Sized Dreams website and poke around a little bit. Then comment here and tell me how your God Sized Dream would intersect with writing coaching or editing.
Make sure to include a way to reach you if you win.
Giveaway Closes on January 31st.
Winner will be chosen through a random number generator and notified on February 3rd.

Three of my God-sized dreams include:
*to encourage others and intensely teach from the Word, related materials, and my personal experiences with the sole aim of furthering and strengthening the Kingdom of God
*to write 2-3 fictional children’s books that will highlight warm relationships, imagination, and a love of language
*to write 3-4 quality books that will be an encouragement and support to others.

Awesome dreams Deb! I know with God on your team, you can make these dreams come true!
Joanne Viola
I am discovering that my dream is to write posts which will:
1) break open God’s Word & speak to the hearts of women
2) create a desire to know God more deeply through His Word
3) create a community for women to connect with each other & their God
I also dream of writing a book that will encourage others in their journey with God.
Thank you for this opportunity.

Sounds awesome!

It sounds a bit cliche 🙂 … but my God sized dream is to build enough of a platform to attract an agent and land a book deal. I didn’t used to think it was such a big dream, but as time goes by, it seems to not be happening, no matter what I try 😉

Sounds great…and it is hard in today’s platform heavy publishing world, but do not give up. You’ve got God on your side.

Ok, I AM jumping for joy at this giveaway! 😉
I have so many God-Sized Dreams, but the one that really began it all was the dream to publish my book. I have a rough draft all ready and waiting for the next step…and I need a push for that next step. Would LOVE for Elise to look at part of it and share her thoughts. 🙂

That would be an honor Mel! Good for you for getting this far. You have a beautiful story to tell and I’m so glad you’re getting it out there!

One of my passions is to encourage. I love to encourage women and teen moms. I’m currently working on 30 day devotional book for women and then one for teen moms. I have two separate blogs for each. This year my God sized dreams shall come to pass as I am stepping out on faith and withholding nothing back from God. This coaching will greatly help me to reach these goals. Thanks for offering and God bless. You can reach me at gwwministry@gmail.com.
I love the blogs Come Dance With Me and Everybody Else Has A Dream, What About Me?

I love that nothing will hold you back this year. That’s just where you need to be to allow for miracles! Praying for you!
